At The End!

I can’t believe how long took my time this one. I love to make puzzles… and I have so many nice pictures they have all done in last few years… But this one, as if it was the most difficult one, I think I started to make it the last days of 2011 and last night at the end I almost finished… Just a few pieces to be done… But I am so happy for this now… Because it was making my mind busy and also made busy my coffee table too 🙂

Yes, here it is,

1) I cover with this mat when I am not doing it, because my naughty cat loves to steal the pieces and then I am being crazy to find them… There are some finished pictures with a few lost pieces… we couldn’t find where she carried them… 🙂

Recycle Project 1

It is a crazy idea but I didn’t want to waste these plastic detergent bottles… And also their shapes were so inspirational for me. For a long time made my mind busy. At the end I found what to do… To cover or to dress these plastic bottles…  Of course this is my first try, I am sure, it will be improving in days…

What I need for this, scraps of different fabrics, whatever you have old in your hobby box, sewing box, lace, beads, ribbons,…etc. Of course the harmony between all these materials is important… At the end we try to create something artistic… 🙂 I laugh now myself… My first project maybe didn’t happen so artistic but funny and strange… But we can call this recycle sculpture…. Yes, here it is my first one,

The King

Pebble Stones /My Stone Men

It’s been for a long time, maybe more than ten years… We collected pebble stones with my son at the sea side of Assos.

From the hill in Assos and the music of video is one of our greatest musicians, by ZĂĽlfĂĽ Livanelli…

For a few years during our summer vacations we collected so many different pebble stones. Some of them were like a nose, or mouth or eyes… they were so small too… Every time while we were coming back home, to the city Istanbul, my husband was teasing with us, “This is not a truck, car!”… 🙂 You can guess how many stones we collected…

And all winter days we painted them together with my son… He was a little boy at that time! Now he is a young man. And soon our home was full of with many stone men… Yes, we made some of  them stone man but there was stone animals too… Especially what we found on the beach, their shapes gave this idea to us with these nose and mouth stones … Who visited us we gifted them to our visitors… sometimes I sent them as a gift to my friends… Then at the end, just a few stone men remained now…

A few days ago, when I visited her blog, her art work fascinated me and reminded me my stone men. She worked with stones but in different way, and they were so beautiful, she inspired me too… Who is she? She is a wonderful blogger and so creative too,

Pattern (Dilara 2 for dear Colline)

I wanted to make a shirt, but for men style. It is not easy, I know. Because of this, I used an old shirt for this project. Because I wanted to use some of sewn parts of this old shirt. Especially the edge of the in front with buttons… I cut it a line and I    folded it for cuffs and also for collar and also for the in front but I didn’t use any button…  You can see below the picture how I cut and used them…

For slippers… I knitted rubber lattice (I hope I am using the right word for this) and it begins narrow then goes wide but not too long I knitted. And then I sewed like a pipe and I put my doll’s foot and I gathered the slipper on her foot… I mean I fixed it on her foot.

About pom pons… if you make the circle small you can get a small pom pon… not difficult! You can see here,

Knitting for “Miss Dilara”

“Dilara” is one of beautiful Turkish name for girls… Actually it is not easy to translate but I can say, it means who is heartfelt and nice soul with her heart… something like that… And I love this name…

Today I tried to create something for Miss Dilara… I knitted a mini dress and also I tried to make a lace stocking but like a boot… And also her jeweleries… I was so glad when I found these metal materials in my box, they were exactly like a silver bracelets for her… Maybe her necklace is a little bit big but I loved the colours…

When I visited to my yarn shop, there was something there, fascinated me! Yes, tiny yarns… it was for advertisement of a yarn company. I loved them all… Of course they gifted me… 🙂

Introducing my little girl, Miss Dilara… (This is my first project with her… I try to improve my doll knittings, sewing, etc. It is great fun.)
