“Inferno”

Seems that Dante Alighieri inspired Dan Brown too… I have just finished reading his last novel, “Inferno”… To be honest, it was not the same impression with his other book, “The Da Vinvi Code”…. But if you like and enjoy reading something in history and also art in the past, it is so exciting and so enjoyable. I really wanted to visit Italy and to see all these places that were expressed in his novel. And how inspired Dan Brown, Hagia Sophia and Cistern (or Sunken Palace) in Istanbul. I really want to visit again… Novel inspired my camera 🙂

On the other hand, the end of the novel was surprise for me, actually I didn’t expect the virus like that… I am not going to talk about this maybe you haven’t read yet. But  made me to think on about population of earth!!!!!  7.046 billion (2012) What will be when the world population reaches 10 billion? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/10348822/World-population-to-reach-9.7-billion-by-2050-new-study-predicts.html

      • I don’t know if we are a happy country – we are not very happy people, we moan a lot … but we have a good life – some call us – Club Sweden, like an exclusive country club. *smile

      • …. 🙂 Of course they are talking about some items for being happy country…. I wished my country to be in this list too 🙂
But on the other hand, we can ask this question, what is happy country? Ah this is really a long subject to talk…

Those looking for greater happiness and satisfaction in life should head to northern Europe, but steer clear of Egypt and countries worst hit by the eurozone crisis, according to the 2013 World Happiness Report released Monday by Columbia University’s Earth Institute.

Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Sweden are the world’s happiest countries, according to the survey of 156 countries. Rwanda, Burundi, the Central African Republic, Benin and Togo — all nations in Sub-Saharan Africa — are the least satisfied with their lives, the report said.

The United States came in at number 17 in the world in terms of overall happiness, but it still lags behind Canada (6), Australia (10), Israel (11) the United Arab Emirates (14) and Mexico (16), according to the Earth Institute.

The report ranks the United Kingdom as the 22nd happiest country in the world. Other major nations included Germany (26), Japan (43), Russia (68) and China (93).

      • Nia, thank you so much – I read this article a while ago … I think why we are happy, is that we have so much nature next to our cities and our cities aren’t that big. All Scandinavian countries are also very protected of the environment and that makes our countries clean. You know, Nia … there is very cheap flight to Sweden from Istanbul and there will always be somewhere to sleep in my home. Denmark is a truly happy country, but so expensive for visitors – loads of Danish works in Denmark and lives in Sweden, because it’s so much cheaper. But Denmark is fantastic!!!
