A Cup of Tea With This Crazy Nia 
I have a friend who crochets blankets and lap robes in a colorful 3D rose design, and takes them to nursing homes to give to elders in need of cheer. She says she packages up love with every blanket.
I bought needles and a book, and hope to learn how to crochet myself. I have great respect for those who can make such beautiful things!
